Title: Long Weekend In Devon, Anyone?
Post by: Toplesscouple on February 8, 2011, 06:32
Just a thread to test the water and see if anyone fancies a long weekend in Devon in September?

For several years we organised weekends there, staying at Bideford Bay Holiday Park. Their 8 person chalets are, imo, very good value for money. They are large, with plenty of space for the 8 people. They have two double bedrooms , two twin bedrooms, two bathrooms, a sizeable kitchen and enough living space that 8 people aren't constantly tripping over each other.  s:D :D s:D

Sadly, early September is fully booked, but the last two weekends are still available. The weekends include the Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.

The weekend starting Friday 23rd September would cost £28 per person for the three nights.

The weekend starting Friday 30th september would cost £23 per person for the three nights.

If enough people are interested that we can fill a chalet for either of those weekends, we are more than happy to book it and pay the deposit. Either weekend is fine by us. The last event we organised down there, we ended up booking 4 chalets.   s:D :D s:D

There are some great roads to drive down there, and places to visit. A trip to Lands End one of the days possibly, if people have't been there before? Or Lizard Point, or a drive across dartmoor? There are more than enough possibilities to fill both the Saturday and the Sunday quite nicely.   s:D :D s:D

Anyone interested?

ok, a few pics of our previous trips. We either went in April or September due to cost and it's nice to have a break early or later in the year.

We had a barbi one year and placed the condiments and stuff inside the chalet. You can clearly see there is a lot of room as there are more than 8  peeps in the pics.
