does anyone else here have the alpine sat nav (dvd type) ? I only ask as I wanted to know if you got a remote infra red eye with it? mine was fitted with an alpine screen so it wasnt needed. however now I'm fittin the new non alpine head unit I will need one.
One dealer I have spoke to said that you can get an interface to run the sat nav thru a non alpine HU as an aux input basically, but it doesnt come with an integral IR eye?
He said that you cant get one as an accesory but you can get one from the spares dept? As far as I know there isnt anywhere to plug one in on my sat nav unit unilaterally so how can it be a spare?
getting a bit confused now, as obviously its no good being able to plug it into a non alpine HU/screen if you can use the remote to control the functions/mapping?
Can people who know the answer please only post, as I've had anough 'opinions' alreadt today from other sources s;-) ;-) s;-)
