Hi just wondering if anyone has or thought about fitting a Carputer. I used to have one in my GTO and had WiFi, Mitsubishi logging software,
Sat Nav and all the usual PC bits. The touchscreen monitor I had would fit snuggly in where the stereo is.
Here's a couple of pics of it

I don't think its been done on here, never seen it anyway. I recon if you check out spyderchat the guys accross the pond will have done it, they've done everything else to the MR2 s:lol:  s:lol:
The main problem would be space, you'd need a pretty small base unit like one of the ATOM chipset units people are using for media front ends.
Jason (muffdan) has done this in a big way!
There is a thread somewhere with it all in.
edit OK so it's not exactly being used as a carputer but check it out here:

So when he hits 20psi boost does it flash up in big red letters "Danger to Manifold" and then you get to shout "shut up" at it. s:lol:  s:lol: s:lol:  s:lol:
Been thinking of doing something similar, sort of mimicing the system you find in the 458 Italia. Out of interest, how much would people pay for such an aftermarket solution to their MR2, bearing in mind the package would include cluster mounted display, PC, software and various sensors?

Dean.
