Hi, my 2 came with no stereo, and I popped into halfords today to get one, and the guy told me that I need to see the "Fitter" because the iso connectors are different...
Here is how they are:
The one on the left only was visible.. I had to look deep inside to find the other 3..
I guess the one on the left was used to connect to the previous stereo (which was aftermarket)...
ANyone has any idea what sort of adapter I need?? thankss

you need a toyota to iso connector and then an iso to whatever hu you buy
sonething along these lines.... m http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ISO-STEREO-AD ... 35ab7cf9c0 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ISO-STEREO-ADAPTOR-WIRING-LEAD-TOYOTA-MR2-Roadster-/230510361024?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Terminals_Cabling_ET&hash=item35ab7cf9c0) m
Those plug in here.
I thought it might help to match the adaptor lead.

OP your pic has the OEM toyota connectors not ISO's :-) :-) :-) John Boys link has the adaptor lead you need to convert them to ISO and allow you to fit an aftermarket head unit. PS its easy to do too.
Ignore whats on the back of the Toyota head unit, when you get the toyota to iso cable there are only 2 of the plugs used, the rest are just dormant.
thanks for the replies... got the adapter and the player is working now s;) ;) s;) ...
My passenger side tweeter was not working, I tried to give it a slight tap, and it went INSIDE my door trim... another job for tomorrow - open the door card....
and sort out this aerial
