Title: Number plate fonts (legal ones) - what looks best???
Post by: Anonymous on April 12, 2004, 19:38
Hi,

I'm about to get myself a set of new number plates made up as mine have developed some nasty water marks. I went to my local Halfords this afternoon and wanted your opinion on what (legal) font you reckon looks looks best?!   s:D :D s:D

I've got a choice out of Standard, Hi-line and 3D. Apparently you have to have a plain white and yellow background these days, i.e. no honeycomb pattern etc.

What about having the blue GB Euro emblem, or is that a bit naff??

Here are the 3 font styles!

Sorry - I would have set up a poll, but I don't think I have access.

3D looks cool to me, but i think the blue  'GB' looks naff, just my personal opinion! Out of interest, how much are Halfords charging ya?

Halfords are charging the following:

standard letters £12.99 per plate
3D or Hi-line £15.99 per plate

You can also pay a bit extra to have plates with a chrome border for about £19.99.

Not too sure how much the plates are with a Euro logo on them - probably £13.99 and £16.99 respectively??!

I think the 3D ones are the best by far without the GB sign. Also see  m http://www.gtgrafix.com/ (http://www.gtgrafix.com/) m  thats been mentioned before with nice carbon effect ones.
