Hi to all, new to forums, and Mr2s so be nice.
Just got a new mr2 for Newport and found the MrT not knowing much about the car. Anyone know a good dealer for service in South Wales.

We have a few members in South Wales, Viggs and Elfin spring to mind, I'm sure they will have some advice on local dealers.

Hi and welcome Al.

I've had dealings with Toyotaworld in Newport, Cardiff & Bridgend and TBH although they're all part of the same group the Newport site is by far and away the best.

I didn't buy my '2' from there but they are very accomodating at service-time and warranty work is not a problem. They are worlds apart (no pun intended s:roll: :roll: s:roll: ) from the Cardiff branch where a few staff members let them down....... badly s:!: :!: s:!:

Thanks for the Welcome.
Brakes are rusting after 1 month dealer never heard of a problem before, told me all discs rust on the inside and edges.

Where in south wales are you, im in Swansea. Im about to have my first taste with FRF Swansea this Friday (to fit my TTE Dual) so fingers crossed eh?

Welcome Al,

I have only ever dealt with the Cardiff service/parts department. Not the best but you eventually get there!

I was told it was a 4 week wait to get a rear bumper for the mr-s. I had to tell them that it was the same bumper as a uk spec and it came the next day! They thought the TRD valance was part of the bumper s:roll: :roll: s:roll: !

Hi Al,

I have a dealer just 3 miles from the house (Aberdare) and they are crap. I always go to Toyota World in Bridgend (25 miles away). Its where I purchased the car and their aftersales is outstanding. Warranty work is carried out without questions.

Hi Al,

I live in Abergavenny and use Brooklyn Toyota at the Callow just South of Hereford (maybe that's too far for you). They have been excellent so far. Although I didn't buy the car there they replaced both rear lights due to condensation, and their service costs are extremely good. When I went there on a wasted journey (they got the wrong lights delivered, fronts instead of rears) they put petrol in the tank to compensate me. s:D :D s:D

Just looked at the rear lights and found they also have condensation in the lens. Lets see what MrT at Newport says I will let you know.
