Post by: Anonymous on April 14, 2004, 10:41
Hi all,

Has anyone here tried to fit a Greddy E-manage on an MRS turbo?

Cheers

What turbo is on or going on the '2? Are you tuning it or is the e-manage pre-programmed? Infact just give us more details on the install   s:D :D s:D

Thanks for that, much appreciated.
Sticking a PE turbo kit on amongst other things, just getting all the bits together at the moment, I'll let you all know when its done....

I am just about to fit a Pre-programmed one to my PE Turbo install.  I have both Injection and ignition harnesses.  Is it easy to do?
Title:
Post by: Anonymous on April 17, 2004, 12:12
Where did you get a pre-programmed one from? US or Japan I presume? If so I dont think thats a good idea unless your going to fine tune it of course?
Title:
Post by: Anonymous on April 17, 2004, 13:38
I got mine from the states. It works fine pre-programmed. Now i've got the wideband in i have now tuned it for the right amount of fuel. It's nice to have some maps in there atleast to start with.

Is it easy to fit? Well i'll say yes but it's obviously on how good you are with electrics. It involves cutting and splicing wires at the ecu so it can be a bit scary to start. A few have fitted it now so help is here if you become stuck.

Yep, pretty good the E-manage for the money, I've fitted a few of them now to various different cars with good results on all of them, looks like I'll be sticking one on my MRS when I bolt my turbo on....

Cheers for your help

As said, MR-S Turbo, is the link to the wiring of the e-manage that i posted above not clear enough?

The only thing it doesn't show is the injector harness. This is the same block as the injector harness, using pins 1,2,3,4 for the same corresponding cylinders. These wires are spliced into, not cut.

Im sorry to sound dumb but what colours are these wires? for the injector harness and The Toyota colours.  I need to get as much info on this before i start chopping wires.   s:? :? s:?

Right, just in the middle of wiring up my emanage. Has anyone got the air flow meter and jumper settings for the MRS handy?
Title:
Post by: Anonymous on June 3, 2004, 18:06
Thought you had it done?

Anyway,

Jumpers should all be set as factory default apart from J2, this is short between 2 & 3.

Rotary switches are 4-2-2

Nah, haven't had time, been to busy messing around with my Supra to get on the MRS at all, had a spare afternoon today so I thought I'd better get on with it as it was suppose to be all done for beginning of May!
Anyway I've sorted it now, tried them settings and it all works nicely now.
Going out tomorrow with any luck to do some mapping on it.

I've got a really good map if you have any IC or WI on your '2, if you want a base map to fine tune from?

I'm sticking water injection on for the moment yeag so that would be great if you could email it over to me? Something to get me started, who done your map?

Have you got rid of that knock sensor mod that comes with the PE kit?
Title:
Post by: Anonymous on June 3, 2004, 21:32
Never even got 1with my kit. As far as i'm told it's a waste of time.

I have a wideband O2 in all the time linked to my profec display. I've done all the tuning myself from an original map i received with my e-manage from MWR. It is good upto 9psi. Just thought though, i've got 330cc injectors in, if you haven't it will not work aswell with yours.

Yeah it is poo, causes some strange running problems, gets rid of detonation though!

I'll be able to use the ignition map off it though wont I, I've got a wideband on there so can tune the fuelling to suit. Can you email it over so I can take a look?

Yeah I always set my cars up on the road, its gives a more real life situation. Although saying that it could be bad on my license if I ever get caught in my Supra, 170mph are regular speeds in that thing while its being mapped.
Anyway, I've put the charge cooler on the back burner for the mo, it will be done though, just not right now, I've got my hands full with my Supra at the moment, I want to get that all finished off before I start going to town with the MRS. This is all being done in between running a business so time is a bit tight.
My wheels are arriving today, bodykit will be here next week sometime so I've got a few bits to do on it before I get stuck in on the power front.

What type of injectors does the MRS use, low or high impedance? Side or top feed? I've got some 440cc sitting here out of my Supra from years ago....
