I have been lurking for quite a while now, having decided to buy an mr2, a few months ago but thought I would find out as mutch as possible before taking the plunge...
I now must admit i'm worried about the precat situation, but then say to myself if i hadnt found this forum, I would have gone ahead bought a 2 and probably had a few years of fantastic fun driving, so I have decided as long as car is under warranty i will go ahead, I have £13000 to spend, not being in a rush does anybody think it would be worth waiting until about october to get my dream car, and has anybody had ant experience with AA or RAC extended warrantys as these seem mutch cheaper than toyota's own...
yes I have done a search and cannot find any info on any claims made under these warrantys...
regards
Mark
Don't worry about the precats too much - the problem with car forums is that you only hear about the bad things (and not nearly enough about the good things! s:wink:  s:wink: )
In my experience, you can save around 10% on the price of a convertible by buying it out of season so, if funds are tight wait until Winter!
Liz has taken up the AA warranty, if you do a search for these terms you should find it... s:) :) s:)
Now go and buy an MR2 and post some pictures here once you've bought it! Go on, shooo! s:D :D s:D
