Can anyone be positive saying if the '03 models have stronger stock member braces (compared to pre-'03, of course) and if the mod is unnecessary for (sometimes hard) street driving.
I am going for the lowering springs & stabilizers so...

The equivalent of front & rear TRD member braces are factory installed, starting in 2003. The factory pieces are a bit lighter than TRD pieces, which makes them even better.
It also appears that the factory increased spring & shock rates for 2003. My 2003 is so firm, that I wouldn't even consider stiffer springs/shocks for the street; that would make it ride like it had no suspension, especially on less than billiard-table-smooth road.
I have the ones from Lampka (and the Lampka complete stabilizer kit, TTE springs and Konis).
My car is a 2003, and now it's a completely diferent car. The suspension is not stiff (I was surprised), and with much more stronger braces I can feel no diference when driving without the hardtop. Before I hated to drive the car without the hardtop. Now I have a better ride without hardtop than before with the hardtop s8) 8) s8)
You're already way ahead with the fornt and rear braces fitted to your car. There probabley is room for improvement, but bear in mind that the 2000 to 2002 model had none at all!
