Title: Question about Sparco xtreme wheel
Post by: Anonymous on May 15, 2004, 08:56
Anybody got one of these fitted?
What do you do about the airbag system as presumably redundant?
Looks just the job for me as big guy and not much room for my knees when getting in.
If anybody has done it spill the beans please. Where to buy, cost, problems etc.

I've been tempted with a smaller wheel for the same reasons, but the loss of airbag puts me of a bit - Perry190 has fitted a similar wheel, so he would be the best person to talk to.

TRD has a steering wheel with an airbag, you can get it in black/black, black/red and black/blue.

And no, it's not discontinued, it's just not on sale in US anymore  s8) 8) s8)

I doesn't look any smaller than the stock wheel either.

It's a bit smaller, about the size of that Sparco in the first pic (but obviously round). There's a comparison pic in SC, but I can't seem to find it with a quick search.

Not worth the cash IMHO though  s:? :? s:?
