Title: Electric Aerial Fault
Post by: Anonymous on October 5, 2012, 13:33
Just bought a VVTI and the electric aerial doesn't work (i.e come up on its own)

It doesnt have a standard stereo fitted, is this the reason?

If so how can it be fixed without getting a standard radio?

Cheers

Hi Moondog

If you search this site for "aerial mod" you should find some interesting articles where owners have decided that they want the aerial to raise by a switch rather than automatically when the radio is switched on. The same modification would be one solution for you. Another would be to use the information within the articles to identify the wire that activates the aerial and then try connecting it (carefully) to the correct wire on your non-standard head unit.

Maybe this topic should have been posted in the Audio / Security / Electrical forum?

Carl.
