Title: Apexi Problems
Post by: ChrisHumes on May 26, 2004, 07:50
Ive fitted an apexi induction kit, and I dont know if its just me, but the engine bay seems hotter? has anyone had any problems with this?

Also, how do you keep the heat shield away from the exhaust heat shield?

Cheers

I'm not sure what you mean by the bay being hotter... it won't get any hotter than with the stock airbox, the engine will be producing just as much heat - unless it's the warmer weather making you think it's hotter.
As for the heatshield, I know what you mean, I couldn't get it to not touch the exhaust one either - maybe worth 'modifying' the Apexi one slightly with a hacksaw?  s:wink:  s:wink:

I just bent the exhaust heat shield a bit.
