The best one I have been told (by an MR2 Owner) was:
Midship
Rear engine
2 door
I didn't know what to say. How can you have a mid-engined (or midship) rear-engined car? And as for 2 door s:roll:  s:roll:
Kerstie used to call it "My Roadster"

These were the most popular ones before MR-S came with MIDSHIP RUNABOUT -text:
"Mid engined, Runabout, 2 seater"
"Midship Runabout 2-seater"
"Mid engined, Rear drive, 2 seater"
"Midship-engine, Rear-wheel drive, 2 seater"
"Midship Racer 2 seater"
(from mr2.com)
I must say when I purchased the 2 and saw what MR stood for I was shocked at how rubbish it is.
Midship Runabout makes it sound like it should be a little pickup the kids from school/ go do the shopping car!! I was in for some serious ridicule when my mates found it out as well ... but then they just ate the dust!
