Title: Navpod gauge install
Post by: petej on November 26, 2012, 21:05
Pretty straight forward installation. Blitz sandwich plate under the oil filter and cable routing via the nearside wiring gromet, under the rear storage tray and straight down the centre, under the console and up via the rear of the glovebox and into the centre cubby. Luckily the sender looms made it to the back of the gauges with 1 inch to spare!

The navpod houses the pair of 60mm gauges with ease. Got the navpod from Japanparts new for about £80 all in with UK taxes. Blitz AC meters and sandwich plate came from my MK2 MR2.

Fabricated the panel for the guages to sit on and ran an illumination override switch into the centre console to allow illumination with lights off if required (dropped a diode on the illumination feed to prevent any possible side effects).

Always a wake up call when you can see just how long it takes for the oil to hit normal temperature. Will help me contain my paranoia about engine oil / oil pump performance.

Apologies for phone taken images.

Pete
