Title: URGENT Wiring Diagram Needed

Hey everybody,

sorry for labelling this as urgent, but i would really like to get an answer by today/tomorrow.

I am looking for a wiring diagram for the speedometer.

Or if anyone can tell me which wire on the back of the speedometer is the one to signal that the car is in reverse so it starts beeping. I need the wire for my head unit/rear facing camera, im NOT trying to mute the speaker, just need to cut into the signal  s:) :) s:)  

thanks VERY much for any input into this i really will appreciate any help.

Be easier to just tap into the reverse light

i have been advised about that already, but i think it would be very difficult. I would need to run another wire all the way to the rear of the car from the head unit - which seems a bit excessive.

I was hoping someone will have a wiring diagram or the answer..

Thanks though

The rear light cable will (should) run to the front of the car, so you could tap it there!

Most reversing lights and buzzers are operated via a switch either on the gearbox or around the bottom of the gear lever.
As said above, the wire will go to a fuse box so if you have a user manual it should say which fuse and you may be able to trace from there.

I would think that somebody has a wiring diagram and hopefully will be along.

Ive actually just bought a full service manual with all wiring diagrams  s:) :) s:)  gonna look now

sorted!

figured it out myself...

found the wiring diagram for "back up lights" which is active when transmition enters "R".

found the wiring diagram for the buzzer...

found the connection it enters on there

C11 - which is blue

then its wire 10 bottom left when the plug is facing you.

going to wire it in there  s:) :) s:)

If the connection is before the fuse box make sure you put an inline fuse in.
