Title: Cheap Facelift anyone?
Post by: AckersMR2 on February 24, 2013, 17:12
This isn't my car, nor do I know who's selling it (that's why it's posted here and not in the for sale section) but on first glance that looks like a pretty cheap roadster for someone?

The things I noticed walking around it:
4mths tax and mot
84,000 miles
De badged at the rear
Pre facelift leather seats
TTE Style bar
TTE exhaust
Rear bumper scuff and lacquer peeling a little
Broken front fog light
Nasty dent/crease in centre of passenger door about 3in long up near the window.

I've no idea of the history but I have a number if anyone's interested. It's in Ferndown Dorset.

Now have a look at a really nice roadster with recently fitted leather and heated seats (it's the one on the right StuC)  s:lol:  s:lol:

MODS - if I have in some way made a faux pas by posting this then I apologise and please feel free to delete, alternatively move to the for sale section if that's more appropriate.

Seems too cheap to me. Looks about a grand under priced.

That's what I thought, a quick look on auto trader and I couldn't find one for less than £3k, certainly not within 100 miles.

Were there any takers on this? I'm sorely tempted to take a look as my bro in law owns a body shop to sort out the dent and paint but I know my mrs would string me up if I arrived home with this  s:lol:  s:lol:

Even if the engines knackered you could break the damn thing for more than £1500

Genuine bargain someone surely has snapped it up for that stupidly low price!

My heart says yes but my head says no, if I didn't already own one then I would definitely of taken a look at it. Breaking it for me would be a pita sure there's some choice bits easy to remove and post but the majority of it would be collection items which down here isn't very close for anybody.
