Title: Reversing alarm removal
Post by: ScotMR2 on July 29, 2013, 09:39
I have a 2005 MR2 Mk3. For some very odd reason, when I engage reverse gear, an annoying bleeper sounds. Presumably to warn anyone behind the car. It's very tiresome and I'd like to remove it. Has anyone done this? I think the sounder is beneath the dash but I'm not sure. Any help would be much appreciated.

The sounder was fitted to warn owners that they have selected reverse due to how close it is located to first gear selection,I believe there is a connection located beneath the drivers seat you can disconnect to prevent it from sounding.
Andy.
