Title: Headlight adjusters
Post by: Pierce on September 27, 2013, 20:41
On a 2000 Roadster there are two adjusters per headlight, lets call them upper and lower.Which is up and down and which right and left? For the former is it clockwise or anticlockwise for up and for the later for right? Jeff

There no point knowing because your never
Get it spot on , use a garage only  a fiver and
Free on mot day.
Plus if you do it your self you might
Think it ok and blind on coming drivers.

But having fitted a new light I would like to get it approximately correct and not dazzle people.

At the top of each light, there's a sort of reversed castellated nut. Basically you stick a Phillips screwdriver into the castellations and turning it moves the light up or down.

A "simple" DIY test is park the car on absolutely flat ground facing a wall, garage door whatever exactly 3 metres away from the headlights. Measure up on the wall where the same height is, then the beam should be 21mm below that. This applies to pre03, not sure about post 03, which has different lights.
