Title: Low revs
Post by: LeeUK on July 19, 2004, 20:08
My car on two occasions has idled at extremely low revs and was on the verge of stalling. (300-800rpm)

It also mis-fired a few times whilst driving.

Is this a know problem or am I on my own?

If it's not running right due to the minor mods i've made would a dastek fix the broblem?

Many thanks

Lee

That's quite normal...the ECU tries to lower the idle as low as it can and sometimes it can feel like it's about to stall, but it never does.

I don't think Dastek can help with the idle. You'd need a PFC or another standalone...

Also, I don't see why Apexi intake or an exhaust would cause that  s:? :? s:?

I took mine to MrT when it was doing this a while ago adn they said and i quote "revs the nuts off it when it does it mate, its the ecu "learning your driving style"" might be complete BS but does seem to sort it lol

Air leak in the Apexi? Any air bypassing the MAF will confuse things.
