Title: Scosche Facia Adaptor
Post by: crankshaft on July 27, 2004, 10:17
Bloody awfull !!

Huge 10mm gap at the top and bottom and if you look into the side you can see the chassis of the head unit !

Halfords don't keep the Autoleads adaptor, need to find a better designed solution.....

it works fine if you ordered the right one, you also need the Toyota Trim ring though, and that applies to the autoleads as well.

Hi Mark;

look at the ash tray unit and you can see what appears to be a plastic trim around it, there is another one you can buy that goes over the stero adaptor.

I seem to have mislaid teh part number but it only around £7

Its the very same part number thats moulded in to the '03 trim ring thats sat here in front of me. Find a dealer who knows how to use the Search...  s:wink: :wink: s:wink:

Its 100% correct. Want proof? heres a quote on the same subject from spydermagazine:

"Here is the factory trim ring and the trim ring that came with the stereo kit side by side.  They are 100% identical and share the same part # 55423-17040. "

Once again, a dealer who cannot be bothered to look further than the end of his nose. Try Ian Le Count at Jemca Metro...
