Title: Halfords Hands Free Kit
Post by: Anonymous on July 29, 2004, 10:18
Im considering installing  a halfords professional hands free kit for my mobile phone. When they looked at the installion guide it said that it was not possible if my MR2 has "active speakers". I own a 2002 Roadster, with a FF toyota/panasonic head unit with standard fit speakers. No amps, or anything else.
If anyone can help out??
Many thanks

Active speaker were fitted to the MkII. The Roadster does not have them (in UK / European version anyway - I believe it was an option in Japan)

I would be really wary (and scared) of letting anyone who hasn't takena roadster apart before learn on mine.  Totally depends on the extent of the dismantling required and the attitude of the individual.  I would certainly watch over them at all times and check they don't do anyting stupid.

its a very simple process to fit a halfords handsfree kit.
theres no dismantling required. i fitted mine in less than 30 mins and it works great.
the new stock of halfords hands free kits are all updated versions now so low volume problems are no longer an issue.
