hi all
Has anyone got a rear hook on their mr2 so a trailer can be hang
towards the back, or does anyone know where i can purchase one
and get it fitted?
thanks
andy
I have seen these come up on Ebay now and then..

But to be honest there is absolutely no way that I would consider putting one on mine. IIRC it's not even recommended that you tow anything with the 2 as the MR2 has a 0kg towing limit in Europe.
If your using a trailer for lugage I'd consider a classic carrier instead..

I think this is more inkeeping in general so there it shall go!
A Word of advice...
Whilst towing a trailer with the MR2 is possible, and there is even a towbar kit available, it is illegal...
Here in the UK, you will get fined and points on your lisence it your trailer is overwieght. The maximum weight you can tow is shown on the plates under the bonnet. On the MR2, the towing weight is 0kg. so even an empty trailer is breaking the law. Also, you're insurance is invalid. So the mere act of hitching up a trailer could get you a conviction for driving with no insurance, towing an overwieght trailer, a shed load of points and a big fine.
thats a very bad news. i was going to use this car and tow my nissan s13
to events. I guess i have to find alternatives then.
Good to hear some one helpful.
thanks all

If by S13 you mean the 200SX then chances are as well as being bigger than your MR2 (how stupid would that look?), it's probably as heavy if not a little heavier than your MR2, and the genearl rule of towing is to keep the weight of the trailer (laden) to below 85% of the kerb weight of the car..... so 850Kg for S13+trailer.
And that completely ignores the 0Kg limit discussed above.
Perhaps a landy would have been a better idea for a tow car?
