Gonna fit a new Sony double din unit in this weekend,i'm happy enough with the actual fitting/wiring and a switch for the aerial....i just need to know about removing the 2 side pillar trims,i know about taking the knobs and screws out for the panel above the head unit....Thanks.

fingers behind the bottom silver bit and prise off, just clips on, 2 screws behind it, upright pulls out at the bottom and slides down.

All fitted along with aerial switch below the ashtry......happy enough, supplied screws for the brackets were too short to go through the bracket and plastic fillers but sorted now.

When fitting an aftermarket stereo, do you have to do the aerial switch mod to avoid having the aerial come up whenever the stereo is on? I'd like the aerial only to come up when the radio itself is on, not the ipod etc. Thanks

Yes aerial mod would need to be done. Nice easy switch on dash to raise aerial when needed.
