Title: FL Head Unit ISO Wiring Harness Trouble
Post by: MikeEcho on March 16, 2014, 22:12
Hi everyone,
So today I changed my head unit (well, almost). Everything was fine until I went to plug in the new unit (a JVC mechless jobby). I'd bought a kit off of eBay which contained a PC2-17-4 harness. The adapter doesn't fit! I've had a search and a browse, but I can't see anything which suggests which harness I should use (other than the one I've got). Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Note: The unit coming out was the factory 58806 CD changer.

You should be ok......for whatever reason theres 4 or 5 plugs going into the original unit, you only use 2 of them.....they only fit the one way so you cant go wrong really.I changed mine a few weeks back and used the same iso lead.

(the iso harness goes between the original wiring and plugs into the new lead that came with the new head unit, not into the head unit directly....just in case   s:D :D s:D  )

Wow, so I went out this morning and it fitted perfectly. I have no idea what I was doing before. Still, it's done now!
