I've just bought an MR2, same colour as this one below. The reason I wanted it was as much for the rare colour as anything else. I think it's stunning personally, I showed my brother and he said it was disgusting and only rare as it's horrible. I was surprised by that. What's the general consensus on this green? Nice or nasty. I thought it would carry a premium in terms of value compared to the same car in a more common blue or silver, would it? Also, what's the colour called?
This picture isn't the best, it looks better in the sunlight.

I love these ones.
Looks like you have a clean car there. :-) :-) :-)
Even rarer to have the matching hardtop.
Not my colour preference.
But always thought it was a good colour for the MR2
Any 2 in any colour is desirable [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]
By far the best colour mate.. don't liste to anybody else s;) ;) s;)
Nice plate! Green is great if its what you like best.
I prefer silver, not just because it's the fastest colour, but partly! LOL.
Sorry guys, that picture isn't my actual car. Mine is on standard wheels, although I do have the hard top also. What's the colour called?

Haha if I could warrant the cost of buying photo shop I would love to haha
I still think a green one is an unripe yellow
Haha yeah but blue ones are like belly buttons... everyone has one lol.
The incredible hulk is green
A smurf is blue
I rest my case haha
Is green desirable?
Hmmm. It's a Marmite thing

Ha ha ha ha ah aha haa ahahaahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is to those that like green, but there obviously weren't many who did?
Personally, on a standard car I preferred the darker green on the facelift.
I#ve changed my mind during the course of this thread, I do like this green !!!!
Anything is better than yellow s:wink:  s:wink:
Nice looking 2

The problem with yellow ones though is when they get dirty they look like a gone off banana s;) ;) s;)
Quite like green, wouldn't buy one though s:wink:  s:wink: black/darker wheels would look better IMO.
See a dark green in herts occasionally, doesn't look right....

haha yeah but the incredible hulk tries to keep the fact he's green hidden, and everyone loves smurfs s:D :D s:D
Haha but my green and the hulk go hand in hand.. They remain dormant and hidden for the majority of the time... but when they are unleashed there power and speed are unmatched by other similar beings :p
Hulk is a bit 'simple' though, is there something else you'd like to share?
Haha you don't need to be over complicated when you have the ability to 'SMASH' everything else lol
I worry that you feel compelled to rip all your clothes off when you do it though. s;-) ;-) s;-)
All seemed innocent there stu until the wink at the end there haha
Smulk angry! s:x :x s:x

That's great Jay.
I was watching that car as it was a real bargain. Seller didn't respond to 3 or 4 emails asking for some info though so I gave up on it.
It looks like a clean car,if you later decide to change the colour ,you can always use vinyl ,as i posted earlier ,it,s all temporary .enjoy n make the best out of it now that you've got it
He was slow getting back to me also, took 4 days to answer my 1st question. The car is much better in the flesh than the pictures showed. There is barely a mark on the paint, the fabric roof looks like new, not a single blemish on it. I was surprised, the auction definitely didn't do the car justice.
I won't be changing colour, that's the reason I bought it. I was just shocked how much my brother hated it. It looks like it's a bit of a marmite colour. I have shown a few friends it, they generally seem to not be sure about the colour to start with, after 10 minutes looking at the car they change their mind and like it. I guess it's a bit of a grower.
I think the green is pretty cool. Would love to see a green with a yellow hardtop!
I am sure that can be arranged!! s;-) ;-) s;-)
Can I throw the white 2's into the equation? s;) ;) s;)
Only if it's a mk3 s;-) ;-) s;-)
Bugger s;) ;) s;) Saw one the other day and it looks great! I've still got my mk3, will be advertising soon.
How can you not like green ----

Was'nt that Forest Green ?
The v5 states mica green as did the body shop when painting my spats
I know mines down as mica electric green according to the toyota touch up pen I have in my tool box like. So perhaps it's the electric bit which distinguished the lighter green and darker green?
Just looked at a facelift sales brochure that has it down as " 6R4 Island Green " ??
