Title: TRD QuickShift
Post by: Anonymous on August 29, 2004, 18:35
I have just fitted the TRD Quickshift, and not being able to read japonese, (there were no pics to help out), I had no idea where to put the sticky pad rings, so left them out - everything seems to be tight and no rattles.
Anybody?
Nice result, this, well worth the £110 and only an hour's work.

I left them off mine as well and had no problems.

I am not sure, but they may have been something to do with  the TRD metal bushings and where they contact the plastic cage of the stick assembly   s:? :? s:?

And I agree, definitely a 'must do' mod IMHO.

I guessed bushings and put them on top of the holes in the upper part of the cage. The assumption was that the original design with rubber bushings protruded into that section and prevented metal-to-plastic contact when inserting the mounting bolts, and the plastic washers help to protect the cage from bolt damage or sticking, etc.

Absolutely reccomend the TRD upgrade - worth every penny.
