Is anyone using a heads up display? I've fancied getting one for ages but never had a car that is suitable until now. Ideally I'd like to get one that showed boost. Anyone for any recommendations?
The only ones I have encountered are OE ones which have mahoosive boxes containing all the gubbins. s:-( :-( s:-(
I am sure I saw a simple one the other day which just laid on the top of the dash.
There was a Garmin one shown on the "Cars of the Future" segment of the Goodwood coverage this year...

But it looks like you need to run the Garmin app on your phone, and it is just a display.
I'd be very careful with this idea... laminate glass (like in car windscreens) would refract a double image so you have to use a special film to do the job. This stuff never really works very well.
Have you tried one?
No experience of these at all but it sounds cool. Does being a convertible affect these? With bright sun etc with the top down, would it still be easily visible on the screen?
How stealable would they be if leaving the top down too?
Vinny had a simple one so no boost, but it does stick up a little bit and is pretty visible http://www.mr2roc.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=37598
