Title: credit where credit is due
Post by: MR2john on September 14, 2004, 21:34
Had the 2 for almost a year now (01 reg 29000 miles) & have noticed a very slight rattle from the engine when she has warmed up. Had a browse on the club site & found that it appeared to be a common problem with the auxillary drive belt adjuster. As my warranty is up as of the end of October I thought I would have it checked out by MR T at Colchester where I purchased the 2 from. Judjing from some of the horror stories I have read on the site regarding after sales service I thought I might be fobed off with some lame excuse so I went loaded with print off's from the site explaining the symptoms of the rattle. I know most professionals don't take to much notice of forum's so I thought this would be good back up if needed  s:roll:  s:roll:   On my return to MRT later that day they informed me that it was the auxillary drive belt adjuster & have ordered the parts for replacement under warranty  s8) 8) s8) .
So the 2 was duly returned to MR2 on Monday 13th sept for work to be carried out. Picked her up last night & she is purring like a good un now when warmed up  s:D :D s:D   So credit where credit is due to MR T at Colchester, as it is all to easy to slag off anyone  when things don't go quit right.
One happy MR2 owner  s:D :D s:D

Good to hear it... Unfortunately, good experiences are never reported as often as the bad one's, Hence we set up this dealer rating and poll page here:

If you could add a little to it, it'd be much appreciated...
