Title: Part numbers needed
Post by: LeeUK on September 19, 2004, 16:31
I've done a search but had no luck.   s:? :? s:?

Does anyone have the Toyota part numbers for:

1) The din size cubby hole for the single din conversion (I have the rest of the kit but need this)

2) J-spec Navi-pod if it is available from toyota, otherwise i'll have to ship one in.

Thanks very much,

Lee

I think what you are asking for in your first question is in here  m http://www.euroroadster.com/articles/Sh ... acment.xml (http://www.euroroadster.com/articles/ShowArticle.asp?File=StereoReplacment.xml) m

...but I used the Autoleads part, available from Halfords.  You need a late RAV4 part, not the one that the spotty youth in the shop will tell you you need.

The pictures of the Alpine headunit in the thread below shoe the result with the Autoleads part; as you can see it is pretty good.

Edit!  Just looked again and realised that you, Lee, posted the pics of Phil's Alpine.  I am now very confused and realised I've probably not helped!

When I fitted your UD Sub you already had a single DIN Head Unit in the car...   s:? :? s:?

Edit: may as well be useful while I have the part in question in front of me...

Cubby hole:  55521-16030

I have some random single din autoleads one and it doesn't look great, would look alot neater with the toyota part.

Don't worry not going crazy yet!!!   s:P :P s:P

Be careful with the Toyota bits - you can get gaps in the fitting.  These may be covered by a surround for your head unit, if you have one.

See this thread (http://www.mr2roc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2035&highlight=pioneer) (I fixed the links to my pics)

Yeah looking at those pics I won't have any gaps as my Alpine has a big surround, some might say too big!
