Morning all!
Apologies if this is a regular question... I did search but couldn't find anything apparently obvious!
I've recently purchased a hard-top for the '2, and have subsequently rung Mr.T. to order the brackets that go on the body.
Fella there said it's more than just a left-side right-side assembly and involves all manner of other "bits" as he put it. And subsequently suggested I have a look around t'internet as another customer of his required the same, found the part-codes and placed the order!!
If anybody could point me in the right direction I would be most appreciative.
Thanks in advance s:wink:  s:wink:

Check out the link as this thread covers everything that you need as well as a link to a fixing guide including part numbers.
Basically you will need 2 Strikers, 2 chrome catches & various bolts & leads. Mr T will charge you £250 for them!!!!
s:shock:  s:shock: Holy $#!%... I didn't realise there was so much to fitting a hard-top; I don't think I would've bothered with the aggro if I asked the question first off... oh well, its paid for now so better get on with it!
Many thanks and all that... s:wink:  s:wink:
Try Turbo Spares in Droitwich ask for Mark he knows the parts you need and will be 20% cheaper than MrT

It aint that bad - honest
Depending on confidence, probably 1 - 2 hours max, I sold mine at the weekend & helped the Guy who bought it fit the kit in about 45 minutes s:) :) s:)
I fitted mine the other week, no problems.

Got my fittings from Turbo Parts, although I was sent a gasket instead of the LH bracket!
Dont bother with the side panels either as the existing ones have a faint line on to cut around anyway. s:D :D s:D

QuoteTry Turbo Spares in Droitwich ....blah...blah...20% cheaper...blah,blah...
If you'd bothered to read what the man said - he has already paid for his bits. Not much use now knowing where else to get them cheaper, now.
We have two cars and I bought the bits from Toyota for the first, and Turbospares for the second. Didn't save much and had to wait a couple of weeks longer as well.
Important thing here is not to change the interior trim pieces which are a complete rip-off as totally unneccessary. There is a line moulded around the top which I cut out very carefully using an exacto-knife (left from an r/c model aircraft hobby) - this removed the right amount of plastic to allow the panels to fit back perfectly around the new mounted metal brackets, and saved me about £160 !!!
That aside, this whole job just has to be the easiest DIY job I have ever done.

And if you really read it properly, it was the 'other customer' who had looked around on the internet and found the part codes. The part being referred to as being paid for is the hard top.
Not difficult to understand.
Anyway - lets have an end to this topic drift please
