Title: drive belt noise
Post by: Anonymous on October 4, 2004, 20:34
I recently had a vibration from the engine(drivers side)toyota removed the engine and replaced the exhaust system, the vibration noise continued, after further investigation they discoverd that it was pulley drive belt vibrating at certain revs, they have now replaced the belt and tensioner pulley and the noise is no-more,,thank god.  s:) :) s:)   [/quote]

It probably wasn't the belt itself, but the belt tensioner? Had mine changed as well, like several other people  s:? :? s:?

wootti
can you be more specific and describe better the vibration? I.E. at what engine rev, quality of vibration, more when engine was hotter and so on.. I also have a vibration between 4000/4500 revs on engine hot. It's impossible to localize with rear hood open. It's beginning, after water pump with a 2ZZ one and belt drive change..   Thanks
