All the badges and decals I've bought have been self adhesive however people seem to like tiger seal.
Super glue is good too.
Tiger seal works a treat.
.
Thats the idea
I tried the cheap foam strip stuff on my TRD skirts and it didn't work. Bought some proper 3M stuff them and adhesion promoter and they are solid now.
Stuck the first skirts on with tiger seal and it pulled paint off the car when I removed them.
From experience I'd say buy proper 3M double sided adhesive tape (like what is originally on the midship badge). I usually clean the area I'm adhering to and wipe it with IPA. Finally warm both the tape and adhering surfaces (hair dryer works well) and peel and stick.
Problem with tiger seal is the day you want to remove whatever you've bonded without damaging the paint! The 3M tape will bond well (if you put it on properly - this time of year might not help though) and can be removed with a bit of lubricating oil and dental tape.
Beat me to it Lee!
I used tiger seal on the fuel flap surround and 3m tape on the midship badge,as I have no intention of removing the fuel flap surround and did not want anyone else removing it either.
Fair point on the fuel flap. Assuming it's the TTE they're not cheap!
If someone wanted to remove it I'd rather it come off after a bit of a struggle with 3M tape than the entire fuel flap needing replacing because it's bent out of shape after they've finished wrestling with it because it's tiger sealed on.
I would only recommend tiger seal for things you know you never want to come off. I used it to attach a spoiler to my old car, never moved an inch once it has set.
