Title: Help replacing torn drains
Post by: Moly on February 20, 2015, 22:07
Hi all
I have been having trouble with wet carpets and After checking out the forum, I checked my soft top drains only to find that they are brittle and the cloth has came away from the plastic drain ,so after many attempts to repair them I have given in and ordered replacements from EBay ,now I have the problem of fitting them .
I can't find any reference to replacing the drains on the forum,I'm assuming I will need to remove the roof To fit them
Any help would be greatfully received
Thanks

When I had my roof replaced, I found that my drains were in a bad way as well. You're right, unfortunately, it is a roof off job. The good news is that it's relatively simple and self explanatory once you can actually see the whole set-up, with the roof out of the way.
