Title: Center storage bin: What is under it? Need to make holes...
Post by: stounedi on April 5, 2015, 08:11
Hey!

I'm about to install a tablet to replace the dash center storage bin. I need to run some cables (audio, charging) through bottom of the storage box.

I tried to google & search for some kind of manual what is located under it, to figure out if it is and/or what spot is the safest location to drill a hole.

Any advice on this?

I drilled a hole in the the rear corner next to the dial cluster but be careful ,you can reach up from under the dash to feel exactly what is there.

I drilled in exactly the same place to wire up my gauges, if you remove your dash dials(pull off the surround then a couple of screws) you can see where it comes out and feed the cables down easier.
