Is it possible?
Because I´ve got just two plugs, which fit into the facelifted stereo. However the other 3 sockets in the unit are still free and radio does not work.
Thanks
These are the only two plugs I have in my car.
They do fit into sockets CN701-1 and CN701-2 as displayed on the third picture below.
Any idea how to mate them with the facelift "fisher price" stereo so it work together?
Would be helpful, if somebody who owns a facelift stereo, take a shot of the wires, how they are actually wired in the connectors.

Put simply, what has to be connected on the facelift radio in order to work properly its radio and CD function?
Or can anybody tell if his fl radio in his fl car works only with the 701-1 and 701-2 connectors as per picture?
Many thanks
I wouldn't bother as the pfl stereo is a better stereo
I have just the fl unit.
I very much prefer look of the fl unit.
Good luck with this, but it's an extremely poor head unit by modern standards.
I had issues putting my 55 stereo in my 00 import, only 1 connector though. Think I've got a post on here about it somewhere with the same question 3 years ago,

Some say, it should work on these 2 connectors I have in my car wiring.
In order to eliminate the possibility the radio is not faulty I would be pleased by following.
Best solution would be if somebody with FL car and FL stereo, could try if it runs just with the 2 connectors attached to it. CN701-1 and CN701-2.
Many thanks for the help
Come on guys, I know I´m asking a lot but you´ll help me a lot as well.
Just some of you could try if the fl radio works with only 701-1 and 701-2 connectors connected.
Many many thanks
So I´ve just tried if it accept cd and it does, it even play cd but you can´t control anything at all except the eject button.
Why not just fit an aftermarket one?
Want it stock as just possible.
I don´t like look of aftermarket units.
Each to there own but the FL stereo is just plain ugly.

Gotta say , I'm with you on this, although in the minority I too prefer the simple uncluttered look of the later units over aftermarket stereos with all their flashing lights and scrolling messages.
I don't listen to mine enough to be too bothered about pukka sound quality
What I am interested to see is that one of the sockets on the FL unit powers rear speakers... any idea where I could get a plug to suit this socket to power a pair up ??????
Basically I need plug for socket CN701-2
I prefer the uncluttered look to......i don't want a car full of cd's s:lol:  s:lol:
Just buy the new Sony wx 90bt double din,its nothing too fancy,a natural progression from the original Sony unit with bluetooth, usb and mp3 capability.....that facelift unit is just awful.
Whoala, works great.
Just the plastic surround is needed - seems like its the same as the one below did it try somebody before if it fits?
