Hello, I need to do a gearbox swap, is it only the mr2 vvti 5 speed gearbox that fits or does the celica, avensis or corrola fit also?
Somebody who actually knows will be along shortly I'm sure, but I think all the others you mention the gear change mechanism are on the wrong side. You maybe able to take out the internals & fit them into your existing casing but not 100% certain. I will have a 5 speed going spare but it will be 4-6 weeks away I suspect.
