Title: Washer jets in the winter
Post by: L14HRE on May 28, 2015, 12:10
I know with my previous Mk2 Mr2 my washer jets did not work from about November till May as they were frozen solid lol

I imagine that we will have the same problem with the Mk3 as there is no engine to keep them toastie in the front.

Anyone fitted heated washer jets like fitted to bmws?

Must be cold up there! Never had a problem myself on the Mk2 or the roaster. I do increase the concentration of the screen wash over the winter. This might help.

Its not the bottle that freezes, just the jets.........

its the only thing I hate about the Mr2.

Everything else I love lol

Would a heated washer not work, for me I turn up the screen wash to 1:1 so it don't freeze to about -20 I think.

Sounds like an experiment is needed to me.
I have designed heated washers jets before, if you need some assistance.  s;-) ;-) s;-)

Try de-icer on the jets or lock de-icer or, as we were all hairdressers, a 12v dryer   s:lol:  s:lol:
