Title: Two minute phone/sat nav mount
Post by: rhiggins86 on June 18, 2015, 22:44
My dad recently bought an mr2 and now it is his fault entirely that I am looking to sort a couple of niggles on my car and then buy my own  s:) :) s:)  I went round tonight and we had a quick play with an idea.

Just in case anyone wanted an idea for a quick and easy phone mount, here is how we did it.

Took an old phone case for his old phone and used double sided tape to stick it to a piece of PVC foam (stiff like normal acrylic)

Second step was putting a few well placed rubber feet to space it from rubber mat, and also some to hold it behind the latch (two behind and one in front to hold it securely)

And the result being this..

Took the car a 10 mile spin and it didn't move, vibrate or dislodge once so successful quick fix! Completely removable too and can be changed easy to suit different devices etc.
The next step is drilling and routing a charger lead down behind the console and connecting it to a 12v to USB charger.
