Title: fitting new sterio double din
Post by: petboo on August 11, 2015, 20:15
hi there just purchased toyota mr2 roadster 04 plate and have bought a jvc double din head unit. I bought this from  halfords as it was a good price, they said i would need a fitting kit  which was £32 quid which i thought was quite expensive as it comes with loads of bits to fit loads of other toyota models which i dont need. AS the factory fitted unit is also double din would any one know if this fitting kit is required as its a lot of money for bag full of plastic bits i wont even use regards pete   s:? :? s:?

ebay mate... think i paid 13 quid for the kit,  you do need it,  iso lead,  fascia plates and ariel adaptor

You might need the kit as yours is a face lift model

All you will need is the iso lead adaptor.....approx £4 on ebay..... and the side filler pieces approx £10 that fill the gaps when using the original facia panel/trim.....you use the original unit mounting brackets and front facia panel so don't bin them...lol
