Philips diamond vision are the best I've tried. Prefer them to osram night breakers. Be careful not to buy cheap Chinese copies. The Philips blue vision ultra 5w5 sidelights are excellent, they seemed brighter than the main headlight on my old Passat, haven't fitted them to the MR2 yet as the side light fitting is a nightmare.

I just put HIDs in and LED sidelights, what a transformation! check out my thread in readers rides for pics.  HID's was a bit of a paint to do TBH, but i would defo recommend LED sidelights.  Makes the car look more modern.

Just bear in mind that changing the parking lights involves doing this:(http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/13/b81bf3fe82e6bc71166bb87a2550279d.jpg)

Drivers side is LED- the whole process if you are familiar with everything will take you just less than an hour.. s:x :x s:x
