Title: Markiii Pipe Fitted - Does this sound ok?
Post by: sadhvikv on October 24, 2015, 19:05
Hey guys, this is me being an absolute novice with cars, but seeing as you've all been so supportive so far with my stupid questions, thought I'd give it one more:

Just fitted the markiii pipe, and the car sounds amazing, have taken a video of how it sounds (+tte exhaust) and was wondering if that sucking in of air sound after revving is normal (I can't remember if that sound was there before!). Here's the link to the video --->  m https://youtu.be/8fxsH3lO83M (https://youtu.be/8fxsH3lO83M) m

Thank you for your thoughts in advance  s:) :) s:)

very short clip to make a judgement on, but sounds alright to me.

That sounds more like a loose heat shield, they always seem to resonate at around 2 to 2.5K on the overrun.

I agree, mine sounded the same when the heatshield was loose.
