Title: heated seats
Post by: dgreaves on January 17, 2016, 21:39
Hi All
I have bought a pair of leather seats and doorcards for my car on getting them home I noticed they have wires terminating in a blue connector going into the base and back of the seats.
presuming they are electically heated does anyone know if the car (2005) is prewired if heated seats are fitted from new or later, many thanks for any advice.

Hi Dave
The heated seats were an optional extra from 2005, so unless the car was fitted with them originally there would be no existing wiring. Shouldn't be too hard to grab some wire and a couple of switches.

The blue connectors are there to connect the seat belt warning system.

black leather seats finally fitted with during a weather break today but after all final tightening soon found out the seat belt buckle was a different type and would not latch not an easy swap but remembered to tie a string on the wiring connection so I could pull the new connection back through and 2 hours later all well again (deep joy ) now for the door cards!
anyone looking for a pair of perfect red fabric seats and door cards I'm your man.
