Title: another tyre question
Post by: spyderman on December 8, 2004, 07:36
I had a post in the past, asking you your opinions on a tyre question. i have the Pirelli P7000 205/50/15 on rears, and i was looking for the same series to buy for the fronts. the dealer has no available 185/55/15, and you recommended me to go for the 195/50/15, than buying a different series of Pirelli, like P6000 185/50/15.

The thing is, the dealer now appears to have not available the P7000 in the 195/50/15 either   s:evil:  s:evil:  . My question is, will i be able to fit the same tyre size P7000 205/50/15 (which is available) in the front factory rims, like in the rear, and if i do so, will it affect my car behaviour and handling?
 s:roll:  s:roll:

thanks.

I think if it fits, it's really pushing it.

As to affecting handling... yes... lots!

I had 205/50/15 SO3's on the stock front wheels without any issues and with Sportivo. I also had 225/50/15 on the back...I don't think same size on both ends is a good idea  s:? :? s:?

(you can use the search for more opinions about tyre sizes)

Edit: With Sportivo, not without

You might have to just bight the bullet and buy a whole new set of Proxies; probably not much more than just getting the Pirelli fronts anyway  s:? :? s:?

Why don't you switch to other brands and find the sizes you want (and are right)?
