right, i've done a search and found out about the sportivo guide to aide in fitting these sort of things(ref: spydermag) but does anyone have any tips on making life that little bit easier? things re never that easy as they seem after all
thanx
1. Take your time, always the first rule!
2. Make sure you have a decent pair of spring compressors
3. Remember to loosen the top nut of each strut while the wheel is on the ground
Other than those tips, the job is pretty straight forward. Basically loosen the top strut nut, jack car, remove wheel, disassemble suspension strut, reverse procedure. If you get stuck, I can probably help.
And as I've just found out do not tell your insurance company you did it yourself...20% hike and they insist on engineers report s:!: :!: s:!: s:!: :!: s:!: s:!: :!: s:!:
Mind you what kind of dickhead tells his insurance company s:oops:  s:oops:

Mine has never asked who did the work.
mine did when i put the struts on. just told them it was a local garage and they seemed quite happy.

Sent him a pm, but no reply....They look TTE, any thing else??...
They do look like TTE springs, but it's a stock photo he's using, so they could be anything in reality...
