Title: 2ZZ/1ZZ Dyno Day
Post by: Alex Knight on May 6, 2016, 22:38
Anyone interested?

Would be good to put a few myths/theories to bed.

Was the thinking of Litchfield Imports. Excellent reputation:  m http://www.litchfieldimports.co.uk/dyno (http://www.litchfieldimports.co.uk/dyno) m

What do you think they would charge?

Date pending I'd be well up for this. Either litchfield or Surrey Rolling road. Would be interesting to see what they make with various configurations!

s:scared: :scared: s:scared:  Not a good idea, lying to myself that I at least gained some hp means I don't feel quite so bad about the poor mechanical sympathy that led to having to spend my life savings (insubstantial as they may have been) on an otherwise unnecessary swap.
If I discovered the car isn't making at least 30bhp more than standard it would be  s:flame: :flame: s:flame:  followed by tears.

This sounds a great idea, will be good to get a baseline of my cars power in relationship to other 2zz's.

I read that on the site, may be different for shoot-out days like this... my local places charge £35 for a power run.  (4wheel drive dyno dynamics) but rarely seen it that cheap anywhere else in the country. usually an expensive hobby, hence I bought a GTECH for tuning myself.

We did one at Noble motorsport with  m http://ssoc.co.uk/forums/forum.php (http://ssoc.co.uk/forums/forum.php) m , i think it was £30 per car. We had approx 20  cars. If numbers are enough possibly cheaper.
Even turned up with a gas barbie, that was a 1st for Noble lol.

I'm up for this. Somewhere central so more people can attend. Maybe try to make a day of it so it's worth people travelling.

Well up for it. My car has mwr manifold, so exhaust and celica ecu. But it runs bloody well, and it'd would be really interesting to see what it posts vs cammed 2zz'd. A rally car driver/instructor said today after chasing it around the 'ring that all it needs is cams!
