Okay, so I've read that there are indeed threads that cover this very subject... but, I genuinely can't find them!!
It's time for a speaker upgrade, and naturally the door panels need to come off. Everything seem hunky-dorey, but the panel refuses to cooperate with me feeling like there is some negotiation to be had around the interior door lock.
I've removed the screw beneath its "flap" in the hope that the black plastic surround would then come away allowing me to finally lift off the panel... it's not doing it, and it feels like something is going to snap with to much force.
If some kind soul out there could point me in the right direction I would be very, very grateful.
Thanks in advance.

It is indeed the plastic door pull surround that is the problem - you need to wedge a flat plastic spatula or similar between the trim and the chrome handle - there are two tabs, one at the top of the trim and one at the bottom that you need to lever away from the handle.
It's a bit awkward, and it will help if you pull the trim piece at the same time to try and free it.

Indeed I asked the same question a while back as I was confused how the damn door wouldn't come off, Sean's advice then sorted it out. Hope it works for you!
Thanks to all who have replied; finally got the bugger off [only the passenger side for the moment]... gotta say it's well and truly held on there!!!!!
Many thanks once again... s:wink:  s:wink:
