Title: DAB antenna.

Has anyone put a DAB unit in their car, and if so did they use a replacement to the OE antenna or a film type one?

I used the autoleads film type on the windscreen. Works a treat  s:) :) s:)

I have the same and it works ok. there are two small black spots on my way to work that I do not get signal but its literally for a second or two. Signal is fine in my other car that has DAB as standard

also check the aerial spec and stereo, some stereos have a setting where it needs to send voltage to the antenna which improves signal

I used the Autoleads film type too.  I have one "dead spot" locally at the bottom of a valley which is also a mobile phone dead spot. Otherwise it works very well. I was quite surprised such a small antenna works so well.
