170bhp...  I sure hope they crank it up a bit.   Looks like a nicely designed kit but £3kish for 30bhp does not compute!

Not 170hp, but 168hp! That's actually a big difference as many countries (including Finland) allow only +20% power increase, which is 168hp from 140hp. And which also makes TTE turbo illegal over here, even if it comes with TÜV-approval  s:? :? s:?

Of course that +20% is only on paper  s:roll:  s:roll:

Seriously?!?!?!?!

Man it must be a dull modding scene over there.  What do people do, get their turbo's approved at +20% then when then walk out the centre crank up the boost?

Yeah, only thing that matters for real is the figure on the paper. People dyno tuned 3.0l turbo engines for 200hp just to get them legally in the car and then take the real power out. Everything's fine on paper and everyone's happy  s8) 8) s8)

For newer cars like our '2, you also need TÜV or similar approval due to emissions and there you need the power on paper from the manufacturer...or you can get that emission paper yourself for roughly 1000 euros...

Well I allready mentioned that more power is no problem and the 170 hp are due to the german TÜV regualtions. The emmission test will be done in a few days. We are also planing TÜV for 40% increas of power but some addiontial things have to be done for this.

Hi muc, are you one of the developers?

I'm not worried about the 168hp, that's exactly what makes it legal over here  s8) 8) s8)  I'm interested in what comes with the kit. How does it handle fuel? Does it come with a pretuned chip?

Sorry for the late answer...

Well, I´m not the developer, thats peter muggianu but the prototyp kit was done with my car.

The kit does not come with a pretuned chip, but the ecu hat to be modified. This will be done by muggianu (I don´t know exactly what will be done). The fuel pressure is regulated in dependcy of the boost.

Btw. this week my car passed the exhaust gas test.  s:D :D s:D

Have a look at the homepage of muggianu, a pricelist is available now.
