Title: Dyno tuning near New Forest
Post by: monsi on July 26, 2016, 22:06
Hi all,

I have finally got my turbo up and running  s:D :D s:D  it has even passed it's MOT!  s:bounce: :bounce: s:bounce:

However it really needs proper mapping, can anyone recommend a rolling road in the New forest area (preferably with megasquirt experience)

Thanks

Not really heard megasquirt mentioned too much on this board.
If you do a search its only mentioned 20 times.
Google didnt help much either tbh.
Most people go for power fc emanage or unichip.
Couple of Link G4.
I would have picked my tuner first and then gone with the ecu they reccomend.
Best of luck.

These guys are in Warminster and list megasquirt on there website. There is also Shaw tuning at thruxton. I've not used either but have been looking to get mine done once I have an exhaust sorted. Might be worth a ring.

Skuzzle motorsport are down that way and they come highly rated for mapping. I am 99% sure they are familiar with megasquirts.

I thought megasquirts were more of an american muscle car thing.

On a side note...  megasquirt...teehheehheeheh

Thanks for the replies, I'd come across Lloyds but not the others, Skuzzle sound good and are well recommended in the MX5 community, I'll get in touch.

I was originally going to use my local rolling road which is only 10 mins away but after having visited a few times, leaving my number for the tuner to get back to me and hearing nothing I'm not overly keen to use them.

I think the Megasquirt is far more commonly used in the US, distribution seems far better over there but feature-wise its up there with the professional ECU's, and I dont really liked the idea of a piggy back, far more flexibility with a standalone...... and who wouldn't want to say they had a megasquirt   s:lol:  s:lol:

I went with Skuzzle Motorsport, seems to be well recommended, and was friendly and helpful when I spoke to him.
