Title: Decent Tyre Fitters in Herts / Essex?
Post by: Comer on January 12, 2005, 16:45
I'm looking to order some Toyos next week but I'd like to have them fitted by a decent fitters in Herts / Essex area?

I've searched and enough people have had them fitted but by whom?

Can anyone recommend one and the costs involved (£10 per wheel??).  Also preferably not Mr T.

Cheers

Supertyres in Maldon are superb... very professional indeed. Last time I was there he had an F40 on the laser alignment machine...

Leigh Tyres funnily enough in Leigh-on-Sea, good blokes always do a decent job, they could never get an F40 down their driveway though!

I can highly recommend STS Tyres in Braintree (along Coggeshall Road).

I took my '2 there to have two new Toyo's fitted to the rear, along with a full tracking sort-out. Wasn't that cheap (about £60 I think), but the service is top notch, and the guys in there are decent people who don't give a fig that you don't always buy your tyres from them, they're just happy to do what you want.

There's also a decent one in Bishop's Stortford, on the industrial estate near the driving test centre and the Total garage. It's called something like Performance Tyres, a mate of mine uses them quite a bit. Probably worth giving LeeUK a PM, he used to live there and knows the are a hell of a lot better than me!   s:oops:  s:oops:

N&C Tyres

They will come to you, they do franchise work for mytyres.net

however when I last used them I asked if they would come fit tyres I already had and they are quite happy to do so.

circa £7 perwheel to fit and balance, I think.

What with masks and big white hats? Blimey!  Only suggested KF as they did a fine job for my friend.  Must have been lucky I suppose.

Stortford Performance Tyres!  Yes they are good, but I can't remember their number.  They are located on the Rainham Industrial estate near the toyota garage.   s:D :D s:D
